People can transform any poor and infertile piece of land into a fish pond and earn money. In water scarce areas of Paschimanchal districts there is huge opportunity for rearing of air-breathing fish (e.g. catfish) including hatcheries. Demand for fish is increasing with passing days. Therefore, people can start fish farming by allocating some space to their existing farms. It will increase their income substantially. Fish farming has much higher returns and low-risk factors as the fishes are under confinement. Pond system and integrated fishing can be the most conducive.
